Tobias is conducting research for the Jahn group investigating linkages between agriculture, climate change, extreme weather events, food security and risk.  His interests are focused at the intersection of smallholder livelihoods, environmental resilience and agroecosystems.  Tobias first discovered the Jahn research group as a graduate student, when he served as the student president of the Agricultural Innovation Prize, the largest agriculture-focused student competition in the world.  In addition to his formal education, Tobias has explored food systems as an organic farmer and a professional cook.
